Kimber America has always made lightweight rifles for hunters. The Mountain Ascent unit is quite lighter as it has less material on both the bolt body. I have tested Kimber mountain ascent .280 Ackley which is an 84L model with the long action. This year I am planning to carry it for this season. Shooting Grizzly and mountain sheep will be fun. I am gonna pair it with a lightweight scope like Nikon ProStaff 4-12 x 40 Black Matte Riflescope. I used it earlier and it worked best with my ACIS rifle.
